Steve Robb, Partner
Steve Robb founded Leap Advisors in 2012 and has 20 years of investment banking and advisory experience.
Previously Steve was a Managing Director and headed the retail, consumer and restaurant investment banking practice at Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. Mr. Robb spent the majority of his career at First Boston/Credit Suisse, most recently as a senior coverage officer for retail companies and the head of the restaurant practice within the Consumer & Retail Group. Representative advisory assignments include the the LBO of Sbarro, the acquisition of Ryan’s Restaurant Group, the LBO of Michaels Stores, the sale of David’s Bridal, and the defense advisory for Macy’s with respect to an activist investor. Representative financing assignments include transactions for companies such as McDonald’s, Quiznos, Krispy Kreme, Buffets, Macy’s and Blockbuster.
Prior to joining the Consumer & Retail Group at Credit Suisse, Steve worked with companies in a variety of industries, and executed many award-winning transactions, including the $72 billion sale of AT&T Broadband to Comcast, the sale of GMH (DIRECTV) to News Corp., the $9 billion restructuring of the Time Warner Entertainment LP, the $10 billion IPO of Telstra, the acquisition and financing of Inland Steel by Ispat International, and sell-side M&A and equity capital placements for LUKOIL.
Additionally, Steve advised the government of Kazakhstan on its transition to independence from the USSR, taught English in South Korea, ran with the bulls in Pamplona, finished the NYC marathon and jumped from what was at the time the world’s highest fixed bungee jump.
Mr. Robb received an MBA in Finance, with Distinction, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and an AB in International Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.

Marc Lewinstein, Principal
Marc Lewinstein is a Principal at Leap Advisors, LLC.
Mr. Lewinstein has worked in investment banking and law since 1998. Prior to joining Leap Advisors, Marc was an investment banking associate at Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., covering the restaurant, retail, consumer and gaming industries.
Prior to Cantor Fitzgerald, Marc was a restructuring attorney at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, representing debtors such as W. R. Grace, Hawaiian Telcom, Lazydays and Flying J in chapter 11 restructurings. Prior to Kirkland & Ellis, Marc was a leveraged finance attorney at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP with a practice focused on bank and bond financing for transactions such as the acquisition of The Container Store by Leonard Green & Partners, the acquisition of GE Plastics by SABIC and the acquisition of CHG Healthcare Services by CHG Companies and CHG Medical Staffing, as well as financings for companies such as Culligan International, Orbitz Worldwide and Travelport Limited.
Marc began his banking career as an Analyst at Berkshire Capital Corporation (now Berkshire Capital Securities) where he worked on over a dozen completed acquisitions of real estate and financial services companies, including the acquisition of AMRESCO's five commercial mortgage businesses by Lend Lease Real Estate Investments.
Additionally, Marc has completed four Ironman triathlons, eleven marathons and numerous shorter-course triathlons and endurance events; has climbed mountains including Aconcagua, Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa and Pico de Orizaba (which included a 30-hour solo descent in a storm from over 18,000 feet, several self-arrests and a standing bivouac); and has written for several publications on historical topics.
Marc received a JD with a concentration in business law and securities regulation from Cornell Law School and an AB with honors from Dartmouth College. Marc is admitted to the Bar in New York and Massachusetts and is a licensed real estate broker.
